Colonne di San Lorenzo, Milano, Italia. June 2012.
Milano is definitely a city of foreigners and tourists. Even the italians who live here are 98% of the time not from Milan, a big part will say they're from this place close to Milan, but not really Milan. Then there's the whole fashion deal: fashion week, male fashion week, fashion night out, etc, etc, etc. This attracts so many tourists. I think most of the people who stop by this city come here to shop rather than to see the Duomo or Da Vinci's Last Supper, per se. In a way for me it's been good, the center is a place where 1 out of 3 people have a camera around their necks, so it's easier to go around shotting and not looking so weird. Also gives me a bit easier access to some interesting outfits on people, more than in most other cities I could think of, without having to really hunt down pictures. I could definitely just sit down in some busy street and wait for people to pass by. Yet I enjoy the walks, the different little areas of the little city. The cities mood and how it affects the people's mood. There's many things to see and do here in Milano, if you ever have the chance stop by, say hello.
This picture was taken at the entrance of the infamous Columns of Saint Lorenzo (I dunno if I should translate that). They seemed interesting, sometimes the attitude can make the outfit either so much better or so much worse. I hope some of that got caught on camera for you to see. Hope you like it. Cheers.
