Today I escorted the lady friend to a Dior event where she got some pro make up on and stuffies, it was interesting. Quite nice I must say. Of course after shooting the process for her blog ( Check it out HERE ), I got some nice portraits for my personal collection. This is one of the ones I liked the most.
There is something always beautiful in imperfection, and I don't mean this is a bad shot at all. I mean... looking at the Dior ads with Natalie Portman and others it is such a clean look, everything is in its right place, every single string of hair is just taken care of. They manage to pull it off really well, with a nice Naked campaign, looks like no make up and the photos are incredible but I would love to see them like that standing in the street with people running behind and the air blowing their hair. Something human and chaotic and impulsive and natural and just... imperfect, somehow.
I've always loved candid faces in portraits, taking them when people don't expect you to shoot them, when they're looking elsewhere, when they're busy in a conversation, when the expression is real. Then you might call their name, they turn around and click.
I guess you might consider this a small sneak peak at OntoMyWardrobe's upcoming post as well... I don't know when that'll be up but definitely stay tuned, some amazing images right there. Thanks for reading, appreciate y'all clicking like on my facebook page and until next time. This has been a pleasure. Adieu.
