You see it too? For me, it's always like this. by Roberto Campos
This is my rendition to Silent Hill and the hours of fun I had with my brother playing it on the PSX.
There is always this bleak world I sometimes see out there, when I know a friend's hurting or I am not, myself, all rainbows and ponies and shit. It never matters, it's a place I like, I grew up in it, I am not afraid of it. Inside this place there is the one thing people in the real world forget the most, hope. In this world you don't give up, you don't leave a friend behind, you don't complain because no one gives a shit. In this world you leave the pieces on the ground and move on. Because in the end, when that tram goes and takes you home you know everything you have, everyone you care for, will maybe be there... waiting.
On the picture itself, yes, I did take it with my iPhone because fuck, I was going for a beer and it was late and it was the only camera I had on me. Maybe it's true what they say about that "best camera is the camera you have on you". It's rare I get to see these trams without people, specially at night so I went for it. Ended up quite alright, I went for that half-realistic half-painting look with obvious inspiration from Silent Hill. If you've played the game maybe you'll understand, if you haven't, pick up Silent Hill or Silent Hill 2, you won't regret it. I think there's some HD remakes out there, forget the console they're for, maybe the Wii(?). Anyways, this just goes to show that you just have to shoot if you feel like you see something, let your gut guide you a bit, then... play around with it and maybe you'll end up with something you really like, like me this time. Let me know what y'all think. :) Until next time.
